Oh, Vegas! How I love thee. The glitz, the glamour, and endless amounts of fun to be had, there’s a reason they call it the entertainment capital of the world. From gambling to nightclubs, to lavish dinners and shows, there are a million ways for one to “do” Las Vegas.
In this guide, I’ll be sharing my personal recommendations for the ultimate 3-day weekend in Las Vegas.
And let’s be honest, 3 full days is about all this girl can handle in Las Vegas. But, I’ve also learned from experience that if you do it right, 3 days is all you need!
So without further adieu, let’s get started!
DO: High Roller
You just landed in Las Vegas, checked into your hotel, NOW WHAT?
Our group was staying at Flamingo Hotel & Casino which is centrally located on the strip (a must for me!) For the perfect “appetizer” to the evening, what a better way to start your weekend off right than toasting in one of the High Rollers Happy Half Hour cabins?
The High Roller, or otherwise known as the Las Vegas Observation Wheel, sits outside the LINQ hotel. It was a short jump, hop and skip from where we were staying, which made it super convenient to freshen up after traveling and walk on over.
I highly recommend taking advantage of the Happy Half Hour. So get this. For $47, you get an open bar in the cabin with a bartender servin’ up ALL the fun. It’s well worth it!
An open bar in the sky? Okay, I’m in!
All in all, it takes around 30 minutes for the wheel to come full circle. Plus, the views of the strip at night are spectacular!
FUN FACT: The wheel travels 1 foot per second.
It was the perfect setting to get the weekend started off right!
PARTY: Sin City VIP | Hakkasan
After the pre-game, we were ready for the main event!
I used Sin City VIP – Las Vegas’ top-rated VIP hosting company – to assist with assembling our evening. It’s a grand feeling knowing that your group is in first-class hands and will be treated like true VIPs during your visit.
Most people know that getting into clubs in Las Vegas can be tricky and more often than not, a complete headache. Long waits, what’s in vs. not, grumpy security guards, expensive covers. And there’s the logistics with the guy to girl ratio, etc. etc. Can’t we all just party equally? I selected Sin City VIP for their expertise for our nightlife needs to simply take the stress out of planning. Especially for our large group of 11, it was a no-brainer.
Jay, the owner and founder of Sin City VIP, was in tune with our parties’ needs and expectations and definitely delivered. We went over all of our group’s preferences from the music to the ambiance. I really appreciated his attention to detail. The entire night went off without a hitch, not to mention he was professional, reliable, and knowledgeable of all the clubs in Las Vegas.
After arrangements at Haakasan had been made, Jay met our group beforehand for a seamless entry into the venue as promised. No lines, no waiting.
Our night was dazzling thanks to the VIP service and ambiance of the venue. Tiesto was on set that night, so as expected, we danced the night away. It was truly a night to remember!
Sin City VIP was a pleasure to work with and sets the bar for hospitality services in Las Vegas. I can’t thank Jay enough. Next time you’re in Las Vegas and want to take the hassle out of planning and organizing, make sure you contact Sin City VIP!
TRANSPORTATION: Vegas Royalty Limousine
What better way to arrive at dinner in Las Vegas than to be picked up from our hotel in a party bus complete with a private driver ready to whisk us away for the evening? It was the perfect way to get the night started!
We used Vegas Royalty Limousine services for our transportation needs in Las Vegas during our stay. We couldn’t be more pleased with their exceptional service. Their team provided great communication beforehand to ensure everything went smoothly, always arrived on time and were extremely friendly and professional.
The bus picked our group up from our hotel and took us on a brief tour down the strip with making a stop at the Las Vegas sign, which is a Las Vegas staple. In all my trips to Las Vegas, that was one thing I haven’t been able to check off the bucket list. It was such a fun added touch to our weekend! We got off the bus and were able to take pictures outside the welcome sign.
The cost of the excursion was very reasonable for our group considering if you break down the costs of cabs or ubers. It’s worth the upgrade just for the convenience of having your own luxury party bus.
One hour was the perfect amount of time to take a little strip tour and still get you to Caesars with plenty of time, without feeling rushed. We were dropped off right in front at our destination and were ready to let the fun continue!
And let’s be honest, showing up to dinner in our own party bus makes you feel special. It’s the little things that truly make life great!
While in Las Vegas, I recommend using their services if looking to get around with ease. Thank you Vegas Royalty Limousines for the VIP A+ Service!
EAT: TAO Restaurant
To keep it real, formal dinners aren’t usually on the top of my list to schedule when I’m traveling to Las Vegas. I’m a total go-with-the-flow kinda gal and planning around a formal sit down dinner with reservations don’t really fit into that, especially when I’m in a city where there’s no real sense of time. But, for this special occasion, TAO was the ideal setting for a very special Birthday dinner for our group.
The overall experience we had was well worth the visit. As soon as we stepped into TAO it was like being transported to a different part of the world. The captivating decor and ambiance immediately make you feel like you’re in a chic and upscale restaurant.
The team at TAO was responsive and a pleasure to work with securing my reservation for 11 people. I made changes to both the time and guest count and they were able to update it without any fuss. With many Las Vegas restaurants, that’s not always the case.
Our table was perfectly located on the main floor in front of the huge Buddha statue. Our waiter was very detail oriented and also gave a great introduction and set the expectation for the evening. He recommended the chef special; it’s basically an all you can eat smorgasbord and the chef makes what he recommends. To top it all off, our server brought out a huge fortune cookie dessert in honor of my sister and mom’s birthday which was a nice added. It was filled with a chocolate and vanilla mousse and was pure yummy goodness.
The food is very reasonably priced and more importantly delicious. They offer guests a huge variety of entrees, cocktails, and appetizers. Overall, TAO provided an excellent atmosphere, food, and service. I couldn’t have asked for more out of a dining experience!
PARTY: Chippendales at Rio
What’s a girls night without a visit to the world-renowned Chippendales male revue show?
After dinner at TAO, us ladies were excited to separate from “the boys” to take on a Las Vegas show. We said our goodbyes for the evening and as they went off to gamble and we went off to see male strippers. Sounds about right!
Located in the RIO, our group had a pre-cocktail at the bar located outside the venue. Ok, I admit it, the Chippendales are a go-to Las Vegas stop for me, and even though I’ve seen them live 4-5 times, it never seems to get old. Call me silly, but it’s such a fun and an all around good time!
Our VIP table was located on the main level which was prime real estate to watch the performance. And in this instance, the closer the better if you know what I mean. All kidding aside I enjoy the energy, music, and performers. The guys have the looks and the moves, I’ll definitely give them that. I don’t think I can gush enough about the dancers.
The whole evening is very professional from the moment you walk into the venue. The show includes a nice variety of music & plenty of moments where you’ll catch yourself on your feet. We had so much fun!
The guys were all very entertaining, and there was a lot of interaction with the crowd. Don’t want to spoil anything for future goers if you ladies are reading this. But it’s definitely something fun to do if you’re with your girlfriends. After the show, you’re able to take pictures with them if you’re up for it (for a fee of course).
So if you’ve never seen Chippendales perform, GO! Whether it’s a Bachelorette party, birthday celebration or a girls night out, don’t miss it, I guarantee you it is so worth it!
You too may be calling yourself a “Chippengal” in the future.
DO: Pool Party @ GO Pool
I’ve stayed at the Flamingo a few times over the years and the GO Pool never disappoints. I call it my little-hidden gem in Vegas. As someone who’s been to just about all of the pool parties throughout Vegas, I was pleasantly surprised by this one.
Our group reserved a VIP Cabana at the pool, which I highly recommend if you visit GO Pool or any of the other top day parties in Las Vegas. The cabana itself comes with two shaded couches and 55-inch flat screens and two additional lounge chairs outside. Each cabana also possesses storage cabinets, mini-fridges, and state of the art fans to keep you cool! Perhaps I should note that the biggest convenience of all is that it’s serves as a home base for you and your group has somewhere to keep your personal belongings and relax all day. It’s worth the upgrade!
Plus, our cabana came with a free bottle of vodka and mixers. So party on!
The pool itself has a beautiful tropical atmosphere. The waterfalls and palm trees give it a paradise vibe. The grotto makes for a good place to relax with some drinks. You have to swim through the waterfall, it’s a must! For a non-beach club pool, the energy is great. It’s a non-judgment type establishment. If you’re looking for a high energy pool with good upbeat music, this pool is absolutely worth a try.
Overall, I highly recommend this pool and the hotel itself. It was such a great vibe and we saved hundreds compared to what we normally spend at other pools. It’s just an overall great vibe and I can’t wait to come back next time.
As you can see, when I do Las Vegas, I do it big! I love how vibrant the city is and you truly can have a different experience each time you visit. My recent stay was truly nothing short of magical and I highly recommend these venues as the best Las Vegas has to offer!
I’ve shared the official birthday weekend itinerary below! I’m always looking for new things and exciting things to try so leave a comment below with some of your favorite Las Vegas spots. I’d love to hear from you!
