Every bachelorette party should be epic and unforgettable for the bride-to-be. She’ll remember this celebration with her bride squad forever and so will you. It’s memories made at these events that will last a lifetime!
My best friend is getting married this year and I couldn’t be excited to stand by her side as one of her bridesmaids! But first, off to Palm Springs with the girlfriends to celebrate the blushing bride. For my group of friends, bachelorette parties are usually a weekend-long extravaganza, held at a beautiful location, have an elaborate theme, and include an action-packed itinerary.
I wouldn’t miss her Bachelorette Party for the world, even after finding out I’m pregnant…. SURPRISE! Not even being 4 months pregnant can stop me from some fun in the sun with my best gal pals!
But just because you’re pregnant doesn’t mean your social life needs to be put on hold. I’m here to help all of my fellow pregnant gals out!
Consider these tips if you’re traveling to a bachelorette with a belly!

1. Make a Fabulous Mocktail List
If I had to rank my top things-to-do on vacation, day drinking and laying poolside are close to the top. Plus, this girl is never one to turn down a good “Cheers!” I was still very much looking forward to enjoying myself poolside with my favorite ladies, but with fun non-alcoholic recipes! Drinking water is key but can get boring real fast. I spent a good amount of time searching for fun fruity mocktails to sip on throughout the weekend to mix it up!
BUT… DON’T FORGET TO STAY HYDRATED… IN STYLE. H2O, H2O, H2O!

2. Bring Workout Clothes
Going from the last one at the party, to now being the first one asleep, pregnancy sure is an adjustment! Wow, have the times changed. But this girl doesn’t miss those hangovers one bit!
I loved being able to wake up every morning, while the other sleeping beauties were still asleep from the night before, and getting a quick workout in, whether it was yoga or a swim in the pool. It was some relaxing downtime alone!
3. Embrace Your Bump in a Bikini
So my beach bod looks a little different with a growing bump, but I was totally ready to rock that shit out! Even though my bikini shopping was altered slightly with a baby on board, there are SO many swimsuit options out there for all of your coverage needs. Tuck your butt cheeks into that monokini, squish your gigantic growing boobies into that triangle top, and flaunt it, mama! Say to yourself, ya know what? This is just my body now. I’m pregnant and proud!
4. Optimize Time Spent With Your Friends
Sure, you may miss out on some of the late night shenanigans, and stories from the night before, but take advantage of the downtime with your friends! When the girls woke up, I immediately headed over to their rooms to check in.
We spent a lot of time around the amazing pool on our property, which I had no problem sitting around poolside all weekend. Especially after a long brutal Midwest winter. I have never truly appreciated relaxation as I did on this trip. It also didn’t hurt that I have the most incredible group of girlfriends to sit around and girl talk with.
5. Take Breaks When Needed
If you feel yourself getting overwhelmed, take a break from the party. Go for a short walk outside, retreat to a bedroom to hang, or cat nap. After a few minutes of alone time, you may gain back some energy and be ready to socialize again.
Honestly, in my experience, the most difficult thing about partying pregnant isn’t the lack of alcohol—it’s trying to stay awake. This is where I found the biggest struggle! Naps are a pregnant ladies best friend. And enjoy them while you can they say!
6. Get Over Your FOMO
It’s OKAY, and I repeat, it’s OKAY TO REST when needed. This is coming from the girl with EXTREME FOMO. Or otherwise known as, “Fear Of Missing Out.” I’ve finally realized through early pregnancy, that I can’t do it all, and it’s okay to pass on things. Listen to your body, mama!
And don’t feel bad about knowing your limits. If you want to leave early, that’s totally fine. Your friends, above all, will understand! Just try not to gloat over their hangovers.:)
That’s it, babes! These are my recommendations for a fun-filled bachelorette weekend (pregnant) with friends! If you’re like me, girl time is always good for the soul.
Remember, above all pretty mama, sit back, enjoy yourself and relax!
