Baby Broulette’s nursery is finally done!
This room means so much to us and we’re so excited to see him grow in this home. It’s crazy to think we shot these photos when he was still in my tummy and now he’ll be here before we know it! I love to sit here and imagine our lives together as a family of three. It’s only a matter of time now, and we know the best is yet to come!
I wanted his space to not only be cozy and neutral, but super functional as well and something he could really grow into. We kept the color palette neutral with pops of tans, whites, and grey tones, as a nod to an African Safari landscape. I mixed various textures as well, with wicker, rope, wood, etc.
It all starts with a theme! When building inspiration, I love to source my favorite bloggers and Instagram pages, as well as Pinterest for ideas. Once my neutral safari theme was set, we started designing the nursery with the big pieces, like the crib and rocker. The MOST important parts, after all. I went with solid white for all of our larger pieces to stay consistent. I really liked how well it blended with the rest of the room.
One of the projects I tackled first was creating a gallery wall above the dresser. I found the cutest safari baby animal prints on Etsy. The frames took multiple attempts to get the shade of natural wood I wanted, but the ones I went with are found on Wayfair. Talk about heart bursting with cuteness! I’m really proud of how it turned out.
For our nursery glider, we went with a La-Z-Boy. One of the biggest recommendations from other mamas out there is to go for comfort over style. This reclining La-Z-Boy is the REAL DEAL and able to easily fit into our smaller nursery space. Plus, and most importantly, it’s super comfy for those late-night feedings.
The bookshelf was one of the last pieces we purchased. I had so much fun at my showers opening all these books for him and reading the sweet messages from friends and family. We can’t wait for storytime with this little guy. Thinking about the lessons behind some of these books, and the stories that may cultivate his love for adventure is so exciting.
It’s the little details that make the room so special!
This custom Stay Wild Little Boy sign was actually a gift from my best friends mom at my baby shower! She’s a born artist, and I’m in love with this one of a kind piece. It’s one of my favorite items in his nursery that I’ll cherish forever!
It’s so exciting to have a vision for a room and then see it all come together. I’m going WILD over all of the little details and how it turned out. All of my neutral safari dreams came to life thanks to so many amazing vendors. Baby B’s nursery is officially ready for his arrival.
And now, we wait…..
