12 Days of Christmas \\ 12 Holiday Looks You’ll Love
Hello, December. I’m so happy to see you!
It’s officially what I call sparkly season and this is truly the best time of the year with all the holiday festivities, parties, events, and everything in between we get to glitz ourselves up for! With December in full swing, it’s time to get wardrobe ready. Which means queue the Sequins, Velvet, Furs, oh my! I’m feeling extra festive over here, and in honor of the “12 Days of Christmas” I thought it would be fun to round up, “12 Holiday Looks You’ll Love” on the blog.
I’ve put together my fav looks this year with both new and old pieces, along with tips & tricks to make it easy for you, which I’ll be sharing throughout the month of December!
Day 1
You can truly never go wrong with a velvet dress for holiday festivities! This blue vintage dress is a thrifting find of mine from years ago, but I’ve found some similar that are currently available! Velvet is one of my favorites and go-to’s when it comes to holiday party looks and the epitome of class!
Last but not least, you can’t go wrong with a classic plaid statement coat. The festive print screams ‘tis the season and the length is super flattering for all shapes and figures and pairs well over almost any simple dress. Pair the outfit with a sparkly accessory and you’ll be ready to party!
Day 2
Another day, another Velvet Holiday Dress! I love me a good blazer dress and this stylish one came in multiple colors from Missguided! The regal mustard color was perfect for the classic look I was going for and I finished the entire look with gold accessories and a leopard booties for a little pop of fun.
DAY 3
Pair a luxurious metallic, pleated, skirt with a solid colored top and some pointy booties. This outfit will make you look like a million bucks. The metallic skirt will be sure to sparkle in the light making you look like a holiday goddess.
DAY 4
What better way to deal with the temperature drops than with a faux fur jacket? Apart from being one of the coziest cover-ups out there, it’ll also make just about any holiday outfit …and what better way to make a statement than in yellow?!
Faux fur is IN this holiday season, so embrace it with your party outfits! And for this look, I’ve paired a sparkly brown mini dress with a colored faux fur coat to contrast a neutral color with a statement coat. To keep the simplicity of the outfit, I’ve styled with a basic colored bootie to keep attention focused on the bold coat.
DAY 5
Once a glitter lover, always a glitter lover.
My next Holiday look brought to you full of sequins and sparkle, no surprise there. A pencil skirt in a seasonal color (can’t ever go wrong with sequins) and a solid sweater/top are exactly what you need for a holiday outfit! Oh, so festive without being over the top. The key to styling sequins for your holiday party is to strike a balance. A sparkly piece is a statement in itself so you don’t have to do much else if you don’t want to except, let it shine! I paired my sequin skirt with a solid metallic turtleneck. The combination is elegant and comfortable, while still being bold.
DAY 6
Bored of dresses? No problem. For all those type of moments, one of my go-to options that makes an impact is a jumpsuit. With the colder temps I can appreciate a good jumpsuit that covers my legs. Find one in classic holiday red and you’re set! A jumpsuit not only comes in handy when I feel like covering up a bit, and the wide leg is a classic look flattering look. I love that they can be layered with a blazer or even faux fur in this case. With the right pair of heels, your legs will look miles long!
In addition to sharing the items I’m wearing in each Holiday Party inspired look, I’ve also linked other pieces for more inspiration and alternative options to recreate the looks!
Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all enjoy this year’s 12 Holiday Party Looks You’ll Love Guide! You can also look back at this post to see more inspiration which I’ll be updating all throughout December and through the New Year!
